The Airbrush Art School Academy has been put together based on our very successful classroom courses, but now offers the students a chance to learn the art of airbrushing from a distance, so no need for travel or accommodation costs.


Starting with our 3-week Beginner Academy - All new airbrush artists get to start the right way with all the correct information, this enables the student to reduce the steep learning curve to months, rather than years and removes all those simple mistakes they would make trying to learn by themselves.
We start by getting students to understand the equipment and all the tools that are needed to produce a stunning piece of airbrush artwork. We then move on to how to maintain your airbrush and equipment which is key for hassle-free airbrushing.


There are over 10 daily exercises to slowly increase your airbrush trigger control to set the right foundation and shading exercises to understand values. After the student understands the daily routines we can start with projects where we go more into how to create textures in art as well as erasing techniques and lots more.


The beginner academy has 14 projects to complete with a view to building a portfolio for the student that they can showcase to the world. These assignments can be completed in your own time, there's no rush to get these done, and once completed students upload them to the Facebook Academy support group where Dave will critique each assignment and provide feedback on areas of improvement.

If you’re a beginner and you’re looking to take your art to the next level, then this is the academy for you.

Leading on from our beginner academy this course is all about the world of colour and understanding colour relationships.

There are 11 assignments to complete within this 3-week course covering wildlife, landscapes, pet portraits, object art, mechanical art, female and male portraits, so there’s plenty to learn and develop your skill set and get you ready for the elite advanced individual tutorials.

This advanced academy is aimed at students that have completed both the beginner and intermediate academies or airbrush artists that have been painting for 2 years plus and are looking to take their art to the next level.

At this stage, we are really looking for hyper-realism and aim to achieve ultra-fine detail within our art. With an in-depth study of how we create all the correct textures and edges to each piece and by mixing and matching colours accurately.

At the end of this academy, you should be able to pick any reference photo and be able to achieve the exact look and feel of the piece, as well as add your own spin on the artwork where needed.

Drawing on my many years of airbrushing and teaching experience we believe these online tutorials will help everyone from the complete novice to the more advanced airbrush artist take their art to the next level. Whilst putting the tutorials together I discussed the lessons with my current students to really find out what would be beneficial to them in the short term and long term and tried to find a way that we could cover all techniques and tools used to create our stunning artwork here at the Airbrush Art School.
